FUE Optimizer — your SAP licenses, measured then optimized
On SAP RISE, every user weighs on your bill in Full Use Equivalent according to their license level — Advanced Use, Core Use or Self-Service Use. The module measures the gap between what you pay and what your users actually consume, then proposes how to close it.
The problem: licenses that drift in silence
A user's license level is determined by their authorizations — not their usage. One role assigned “just in case”, one extra transaction inherited from a composite, and a user who only views data is classified as Advanced Use: a full license, counted as 1 FUE, for usage worth thirty times less.
Multiplied by hundreds of users, this gap between authorized and used becomes an invisible cost line: the FUE bill goes up, and nobody can say precisely why.
What the module does
FUE Optimizer crosses assigned authorizations with each user's real consumption, and classifies everyone by license type — Advanced Use (1 user = 1 FUE), Core Use (5 users = 1 FUE), Self-Service Use (30 users = 1 FUE).
It then identifies the authorizations that cost — those classifying users above their real usage — and proposes role adjustments prioritized by gain, with the before/after figure in FUE. The decision stays with you, but it rests on numbers.
What your management gains
The bill explained, user by user
Who is classified as Advanced, Core or Self-Service, and because of which authorizations: the composition of your FUE bill becomes readable.
Recommendations prioritized by gain
Not a raw anomaly list: concrete adjustments, ranked by recovered FUE, to tackle the highest-value items first.
A before/after figure
Every optimization scenario is quantified in FUE — and therefore in euros — before being decided. Savings are observed, not promised.
A recurring lever, not a one-off audit
License drift is continuous; so is the measurement. The module tracks the gap over time, not once every three years.
The FUE conversion, concretely
The Full Use Equivalent is the accounting unit of your RISE contract: one Advanced Use user counts as 1 FUE, it takes 5 Core Use users to make 1 FUE, and 30 Self-Service Use users to make 1 FUE.
Reclassifying a user from Advanced to Core therefore divides their cost by five — without changing anything about what they actually do in the system, only what they are authorized to do without using it.

A few standard extractions are enough for a demonstration on your data — no installation, no connection to your systems, no commitment.
